The channel was launched in December 2005 and has since its launch become one of India's leading English language news channels.TV18 Broadcast Ltd is one of India's popular television broadcasting networks. It includes one of India's leading news networks comprising channels such as CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNBC-TV18 Prime HD, CNN-News18, News18 India and IBN Lokmat (a Marathi regional news channel in partnership with the Lokmat group).
